Melissa  Marsh

Designer

Melissa relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina from the Buffalo, New York area, and has been working in the design industry for almost eight years. Most of her experience is in Kitchen and Bath design, however, she spent the last year before her move, working at a commercial design firm where she worked on larger-scale projects relating to healthcare, education and office spaces. Realizing her true passion lay within the residential design spectrum, she was thrilled to be invited to join the team of talented professionals at Markraft Cabinets. Melissa’s favorite aspect of her position as Designer is being able to creatively and beautifully solve spatial and functionality issues through a genuine emotional connection and true understanding of her clients’ needs.

In addition to her experienced-based knowledge of design and desire to help others, Melissa graduated from Villa Maria College with an A.A.S in Interior Design accompanied by certification in Historic Preservation and Restoration. Melissa is also a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and has volunteered for several community-based projects such as Habitat for Humanity and Shea’s Performing Arts Center (Buffalo, New York).

Outside of her responsibilities at Markraft Cabinets, Melissa is an advocate for sustainable living and has been a vegetarian for almost fourteen years. Additionally, she enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking, swimming in the ocean and walking her chihuahua, Ziggy. If you don’t catch her outside, you will find Melissa enjoying a drink at one of Wilmington’s many local breweries or shopping for Mid-Century Modern furniture.
